Ostello Verbania

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff were friendly and made me feel like part of a little family. The breakfast was the best I've had while traveling around Europe, with a great variety of breads, cheeses, jams, healthy cereals. The location of the hostel was ideal, as it was very close to the center and ferry dock. Being situated on top of a hill provided a beautiful view of the lake and the Borromean islands. The hostel was also very clean and had great facilities.

Can't fault anything about it.

Location.

The personnel doesn't care about people, like some teenagers living their lives and ignoring you, even though you're just in front of their desk. We booked a double bedroom with private bathroom and didn't get it. Very noisy, no comfort at all.

Repair the doors that are noisy when they get opened, repair the door of one woman shower that does not close

Cute hilltop hostel with short walking distance to town. Lovely breakfast, friendly reception, early check-in option. Beautiful dorm view, clean beds/bathrooms. Calming view of lake and landscape. Walking distance to lake, bars, restaurants. Would definitely return!

Location was good

We had to wait for over 3 hours for check in. Room was double booked. Got access to our room at 1h30 at night. No keys or code to open door afterwards. Second night we got promised another room with two to then arrive in a room that was full of people 14 and no empty bed. To pack my stuff and start looking for another room in the middle of the night to name a few. Promise after promise, none of it true.

Location, and was a good price for the location.

Is second summer staying there, staff were far less helpful this time, breakfast often bread had ran out and not been replenished.

The hotel is conveniently located on top of a hill, providing a beautiful view of the lake. It is also close to the old town, making it easily accessible for exploring. The rooms are comfortable and offer stunning views from the balcony. The breakfast is rich and varied, surpassing the standards of some 4-star hotels. The staff is supportive, kind, and resourceful, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The showers are too hot and difficult to regulate, causing discomfort during the stay.

It was the cheapest place around- but for a reason.

The bed was uncomfortable and the room was cold but the heating wouldn't turn on. The water coming out of the sink was deep orange and I didn't realize until after I drank it... It was disgusting. Absolutely sick. The room was decently clean. Nothing special. Good location near the quaint city center.

Great value for money. Excellent, convenient location (with lake view). Very clean and well-organized. Delicious breakfast (yogurt, fruit, local cakes, juice, coffee) included.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Ostello in a dormitory-style room. the beds were comfy and the surroundings were peaceful, surrounded by nature and beautiful views of the lake and mountains. the staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in early and providing a lovely breakfast buffet with plenty of vegetarian options. the hostel was clean and well-maintained, with clean showers and toilets. it was a great value for money and I would highly recommend it.

Incredible view of the lake and islands, lovely staff, delicious breakfast with gluten-free options, comfortable beds, close to attractions, nice communal area.

Love this place! Always stay here when in town. Staff returned my forgotten headphones. Has everything I need: Wi-Fi, parking, kitchen, bar/restaurant, pool. Coming back for a romantic escape. No regrets!

Limited Kitchen Amenities.

I recently stayed at a hostel in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, with a peaceful atmosphere and clean facilities. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of vegan and vegetarian options, although it could have had more fruit. The female dorm room was spacious and cleaned daily, but could use some additional furniture for personal belongings. The toilets were clean, but there was a need for more toilet paper. The showers were also clean and provided warm water. it was a satisfying and enjoyable stay.

I do recommend this hostel.
